What’s shuming at shumee? We are shuming about things that our users are currently talking about :) “Which top best matches black jeans, what is the hottest lipstick of this summer”… These are only a few of the things that our users recently talked about.
You can see recommendations of people who you follow on the main screen of the app (and on the web version)… So the way your personal shumee looks like is all based on our ability to find and follow the right people for you. There are a number of ways to find a profile worth following. On the main screen of the app, you can find something that we call “carousels”, which shows the most interesting posts (you can follow the authors of these posts) or profiles of the most active users. Searching for profiles is another way to find new people to follow. You can also invite your friends from other social media platforms to join shumee. We understand that this is one of the key features of the app, that’s why we are focused on perfecting it.
Currently, the screens below show us a list of people that we are following and people who follow us.
Both of these screens are uninteresting and not intuitive. For example, we can’t see the people who are following us from the list of people that we follow. Moreover, there is no easy way of following these people.
Our priorities of redesigning the app include:
- A clear layout
- An easy way to follow people from our “following” list – we can see who follows us so we can follow them too
- An easy way to invite friends via SMS or other social media platforms
We hope that you will enjoy all the changes ;)
However, there is more. Whilst we are working on adding all e-commerce functions that will allow you buy and sell different things, we are also completely redesigning the shumee’s search engine.
In addition, filters are one of many changes we are introducing. This allows you to redefine your search according to different categories - votes, people, recommended places etc. It will also help you to find other users.
So what do you think? Is it better or do you have other suggestions? Let us know what you think in the comments box below or just drop us an email.
